Snow

The Mont Alto Arboretum saw its first taste of winter last night. The ground was covered with a light dusting of snow this morning Tuesday November 18, 2008.

Paperbark maple on campus.



The paperbark maple (Acer griseum) has beautiful fall foliage. The leaves are turning a bright red. The paperbark maple and the many Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) seem to brighten the campus with their radiant fall foliage.

The Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) and the peacock Japanese maple (Acer japonicum var. aconitifolium) are turning brilliant fall colors.
