Snow

The Mont Alto Arboretum saw its first taste of winter last night. The ground was covered with a light dusting of snow this morning Tuesday November 18, 2008.

The paperbark maple (Acer griseum) has beautiful fall foliage. The leaves are turning a bright red. The paperbark maple and the many Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) seem to brighten the campus with their radiant fall foliage.

Three new longleaf pine (Pinus palustris) were planted in the Penn State Mont Alto Arboretum yesterday.
